You may only know these names if you keep up with politics.

Today didn't start off so good. While I was watching the news, there was an update on Elizabeth Edward's announcement yesterday that her cancer has returned to one of her ribs. The announcement showed that bone cancer is not curable, but it is managable. Tony Snow also announced that he will be taking off of work for a (maybe) cancer surgery. I don't see why there would be major surgery without a biopsy first, but we don't want to worry the public.

I'm coming to the realization how real this is. Denial has helped soften the blow of all of this, but my hair loss is accelerating, and that is the last thing I've been holding on to making it not so real in my hair. It isn't the best or the prettiest hair, but it is MINE.

If I don't post for the next couple of days, don't worry. Those are when the fatigue really sit in last time. I hope all of you are enjoying the wonderful benefits of Spring.

Hey Cancer Vixen!
I wrote a long comment last night and it has gone somewhere into cyberspace. I won't be so long winded but I do want to encourage you to be optimistic. God wants you to be healthy. Forgive others, ask for forgiveness for yourself, and be sure to claim the healing when it comes. You have to realize it(like the shrinking of the lumps in your beasts)and thank God and say something like "I claim this healing." I'm so glad you are treating yourself. Let us know what other things would be a nice treat and who knows. Thank you for taking care of my son all these years. Now it's his turn. This will be very hard for him to do so don't expect too much. I'll be glad when Tony comes. I know it will be really great for you two to spend some time together.Go Vixen Go! Remember the "Red Devil" may make you feel tired but his job is to kick cancer butt. Just relax and rest and let him do his job.
Love ya. lots,
Pat

DON'T MISS GOD'S ANSWER

The God of surprises strikes again...God does that for the faithful. Just when the womb gets too old for babies,Sarah gets pregnant. Just when the failure is too great for grace,David is pardoned...The lesson? Don't give up.Is the road long? Don't stop. Is the nigth black? Don't quit. God is watching. For all you know right at this moment...the check may be in the mail. The apology may be in the making. The job contract may be on the desk. Don't quit. For if you do, you may miss the answer to your prayers.

So you sound down today. Dude, why are you down? You only have breast cancer (note the sarcastic font that was written in). Anyway, I got a joke for you. "What do you say to cheer up a woman with breast cancer?" "I love your lady lumps." :D I kill me.
Love, Shelly

Well, I was hoping you weren't watching the news and would miss about Elizabeth Edwards. I have a really good friend that had lung cancer and they gave her a very short life expectancy (months). That was several years ago and she is kicking butt all over the place. I cannot even imagine how very strong you are and how strong God thinks you are, because we know He won't give you more than you can handle. Sometimes we think we can't be as strong as He wants, but He shows us we can. Keep your chin up and remember the hair will come back and who knows it may be thicker, curlier and even a different color. We are praying for you.

I've missed you this week. You constantly make me laugh. It will be good to see you again tomorrow.

I got a donation request in the mail for Breast Cancer Research. Normally, I selfishly toss that kind of stuff. But, this time, I realized, this is showing support for my dear friend. So, I'm sending a donation and proudly sporting the cling they sent with it to put on my car.

It's amazing how many people one person can touch. And I think you would be amazed at how many people YOU have touched. You're awesome and God loves you.

Hey girl. Like you haven't heard everyone's friend's, sisters, cousins, roomate's story already, but I'm going to tell you one anyway. Tonya's (the one that worked here for awhile) mom went thru chemo and lost all of her hair also. HOWEVER, when it grew back, she says it was thicker and denser then before she lost it. Something to look forward to.
I love you and can't wait to see you. I'm trying to pick out some chick lit, I know how you love them. See you soon.

Amy,
I've been keeping you and your family in my prayers! I have also been asking a lot of my friends to pray for you.
Hang in there! Ask God to show you exactly what He wants from this situation.
I love you very much! God bless you with peace!
